A Step Forward in Our Global Maritime Journey
We’re excited to share that SpecTec is now a proud member of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) – a key voice in the global shipping community and a driving force behind innovation, collaboration, and sustainability across the maritime sector.
Why this matters
This isn’t just about a new logo on our website. Joining CSC is part of a broader journey reconnecting SpecTec with the maritime world, not just as a trusted software provider, but as an engaged, forward-looking partner in shaping what’s next for our industry.
The CSC’s mission to promote a safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable shipping sector aligns closely with our own goals at SpecTec. We’re proud to be joining a group of like-minded organisations who are committed to progress-not just in words, but in action.
Building Our Voice and Our Role
Over the last year, we’ve been working with a number of organisations contributing, collaborating, and showing up for the industry we care about. Membership with the CSC is the latest step in that commitment. It gives us a seat at the table-to listen, to learn, and to share what we know. Whether it’s around planned maintenance, procurement, inventory management, or digital transformation, we want to be part of the conversation and the solution, helping our partners achieve their goals.
Extending Our Reach: SMI Council Appointments
Earlier this year, our CEO Adam Dennett was appointed as a full member of the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) Commercial Marine Group (CMG) Council, further extending our contribution at a strategic level. The CMG Council plays an active role in promoting innovation and supporting global commercial marine operations.
A word from our CEO
“Joining the Cyprus Shipping Chamber is a proud moment for us-it’s another step in reconnecting SpecTec with the maritime community and playing a more active role in shaping its future.
Since I joined the business last year, my focus has been on building strong relationships, listening more than we speak, and ensuring we continue to add real value-not just through our technology, but through our voice and actions.
These memberships are more than badges. They give us a platform to contribute, learn, and collaborate with others who care deeply about the future of shipping. Whether it’s through smarter maintenance systems, sustainable procurement, or sharing best practices-we’re here to make a difference.” Adam Dennett, CEO, SpecTec
What’s next?
Our team is looking forward to engaging with CSC members, contributing to meaningful conversations, and bringing practical solutions to industry challenges. We’ll continue to share updates on our initiatives through our Knowledge Hub, as we strengthen our role in the global maritime community.
Thank you to the CSC for the warm welcome – we’re excited for what’s ahead.
