A Partnership Built to Last
Not every partnership stands the test of time. Güngen Maritime and Trading is proof that some do. A Turkish family-owned company with origins in 1976, Güngen has grown from a trading operation into a respected owner and operator of high-specification Suezmax crude oil tankers, managing their entire fleet in-house from their offices in Ankara and Istanbul.
They take quality seriously, they take their people seriously, and for 20 years, they’ve trusted AMOS to help them run their fleet the same way.
20 Years of Partnership
In early 2026, our team had the pleasure of visiting Güngen Maritime to mark this important milestone together. It was a chance to reflect on what 20 years of working side by side really means, not just in contracts or software versions, but in the relationships built between people who understand each other’s business.
To mark the occasion, we presented Güngen Maritime with a special recognition gift from the SpecTec team. The response from their team made the moment genuinely memorable, and it reminded us why long-term partnership is at the heart of everything we do.
Twenty years is a long time in any industry. In maritime, where the regulatory environment, operational pressures, and technology expectations never stand still, we’re proud that our partnership with Güngen has grown stronger through all of it.
“Our relationship with SpecTec goes back 20 years, and what stands out is not just the software. It is the people behind it. Even in complex times, we have always felt supported, and we look forward to continuing to build on what we have achieved together.”
Burak Güler, ETS- IT Manager, Güngen Maritime
Looking Forward
The maritime industry is not standing still, and neither are we.
We’re proud that AMOS continues to evolve as the digital backbone for Güngen Maritime’s fleet, and we’re excited to keep working closely with their teams as they raise the standard across their operations. Whether that means improving day-to-day workflows, strengthening compliance processes, or finding new ways to get more from their AMOS investment, we’re here to make it happen.
That’s what partnership looks like to us. Not a sales relationship. A working one.
“The best work happens when a customer is willing to push with you, not just buy from you. That is what twenty years with Güngen Maritime has been. Honest conversations, shared standards, and a constant test of what AMOS and the fleet can do together. We are proud of where we have got to, and more interested in where they take us next.”
Adam Dennett, CEO, SpecTec
